BIRMINGHAM FOLK

We are Birmingham Folk, three friends who came together as active musicians in the Birmingham music scene with a shared vision of creating more opportunities to play, learn and share folk music from all over the world, here in our favourite city. In 2022 we realised that if we wanted to have more of these opportunities in Birmingham then WE could get things started!

Since then we have instigated our Birmingham Folk Workshop Series and monthly Global Sessions as well as hosting events at Moseley Folk Festival and running folk performances.

We’re passionate about accessible, social music making for musicians at all levels and helping others find confidence in participatory music because ultimately, we love it and want you to experience that joy too!
